UNC Health Nash, part of the Nash UNC Health Care system, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for an oncology specialty clinic. The role involves scheduling, assisting nurses and physicians, and maintaining medical records in a fast-paced environment.

Candidates should have a CMA certification, BLS, and at least two years of CMA experience; high school diploma or GED required. This is a full-time, onsite position with standard 40-hour weeks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited medical assistant program.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification and BLS required.
• Minimum 2 years CMA experience in healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform general office duties and record keeping.

Responsabilités

• Displays professional manner and image; works as part of the health care team.
• Utilizes professional telephone techniques and follows attendance policies.
• Prepares and maintains medical records and examination areas.
• Dictates telephone prescriptions to pharmacies and coordinates referrals.
• Assists physicians with procedures and prepares patients for examinations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
