Job summary

UNC Health Care is hiring a Clinical Support Technician II to assist in patient care and perform clerical duties at the GI Surgery Acute Care Unit in Chapel Hill. Qualifications

• Requires one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience.
• Three (3) months of nursing assistant experience required.
• Listed as a Nursing Assistant I and II by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine examinations and procedures.
• Review patient-care documentation and report significant changes.
• Conduct various clerical tasks including maintaining medical records.
• Provide cleaning and maintenance support as needed.
• Deliver direct personal care to patients as outlined in the care plan.
• Reinforce teaching given to patients by healthcare providers.
