Job summary

Hire Hangar Global is seeking a Sales Engineer with a Chemical Engineering background to support a custom foam manufacturer serving medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, and electronics sectors. This on-site role blends technical problem-solving with relationship-building to tailor solutions customers can actually produce.

You will collaborate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service teams to develop timely quotes, nurture key accounts, and travel to on-site visits

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related technical area.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work through evolving customer requirements.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust with customers.
• Ability to communicate technical ideas to non-technical people clearly and accurately.
• Well-organized, self-driven, and capable of managing multiple tasks on-site.
• Comfortable in a manufacturing environment and able to work across departments on-site.
• Willing to work on-site full time at one of the listed locations.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and grow relationships with important accounts, staying attentive to both technical demands and broader business goals.
• Serve as the connecting point between customers and manufacturing, translating customer requests into buildable solutions.
• Pursue new sales opportunities through inbound leads or outbound prospecting.
• Collaborate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service to prepare timely, accurate quotes.
• Occasionally travel for on-site customer visits and industry trade shows as needed.
• Track and maintain records related to accounts, pipeline progress, and conversations.
• Stay informed on foam materials, applications, and industry shifts.
