Job summary

Hire Hangar, Inc. is seeking a Sales Engineer with a chemical engineering background to support a custom foam manufacturer serving the medical, aerospace, automotive, industrial, and electronics industries.

This on-site role blends technical thinking with relationship-building, translating customer needs into manufacturable solutions. You will work directly with customers, engineering, estimating, and manufacturing teams in Barberton, Ohio, with occasional travel for on-site visits or trade

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or a closely related technical area.
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to translate customer needs into clear, producible solutions.
Comfortable working on-site in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Cultivate and grow relationships with key accounts while balancing technical and business goals.
Translate customer requirements into producible foam solutions with engineering input.
Pursue new sales opportunities from leads and outbound prospecting.
Coordinate with engineering, estimating, manufacturing, and customer service to prepare quotes.
Travel on-site for customer visits and industry events.
Maintain accurate records of accounts, pipeline, and customer conversations.
Stay informed on foam materials, applications, and industry shifts.
