Job summary

Liberty University, Inc. is seeking an HVAC Technician II to perform semi-skilled work on building HVAC and refrigeration systems across on-campus and off-campus facilities in Lynchburg, VA.

Responsibilities include maintenance, repair, and operation of central heating and chilled water plants, with emergency response duties and strong customer service to students, faculty, and staff. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 3+ years of HVAC experience, and EPA refrigerant certification

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of related HVAC experience.
• EPA certification in refrigerants; journeyman card preferred or EPA approved Refrigerant Transition/Recovery Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine installation, adjustment, operation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Operate central steam/hot water heating plant and central chilled water plant.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Enter labor and materials in SchoolDude work orders.
• Provide HVAC repair services during events and emergencies.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals to diagnose faults.
• Work with a team and communicate effectively with staff and students.
