Job summary
Liberty University is seeking an HVAC Technician II to perform semi-skilled installation, maintenance and repair of campus building HVAC and refrigeration systems. You will work on a variety of on-campus facilities, from central heating and chilled water plants to roof top units, ensuring comfort for students and staff.
Responsibilities include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, reading schematics, and coordinating with the HVAC team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3+ years of related experience in HVAC trade.
- EPA refrigerants certification is required; journeyman card preferred.
- Basic computer operation for use on energy management system and CMMS (SchoolDude).
- Knowledge of air distribution systems such as VAV, Double duct, etc.
- Ability to lift up to 50+ pounds and work at various heights.
Responsibilities
- Perform semi-skilled installation, adjustment, operation, repair and maintenance of building HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Maintain central heating plant and central chilled water plant operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
- Assist other HVAC technicians and supervisors as needed.
- Enter work orders and keep records of labor and materials.
- Work flexible hours including weekends and on-call as emergencies arise.
