Job summary

SIMCO Electronics is seeking a Field Service Technician C to calibrate inspection, measurement, and test equipment across acoustical, chemical, dimensional, RF/microwave, and other disciplines. The role emphasizes precise data collection, reporting, and excellent customer communication onsite.

You will travel to customer locations, perform calibrations per specifications, and maintain equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform general math, algebra, and basic trig functions.
• Understanding of basic statistics and measurement uncertainty.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Basic to intermediate troubleshooting and equipment alignment.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel.
• 5–8 years calibration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/17025/Z540 QMS.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate IMTE across disciplines to published specs.
• Maintain calibration standards and perform maintenance as needed.
• Prepare calibration reports and certificates.
• Interact professionally with customers and account managers.
• Ensure safety, quality, and timely onsite service.
