Job summary

SIMCO Electronics is seeking a Field Service Technician to calibrate IM&TE across multiple disciplines, in onsite field settings. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and adjust equipment to meet specifications, while delivering excellent customer service and rigorous documentation.

The role requires independent work and teamwork, with travel to customer sites as needed. Strong communication and accuracy are essential to success in this field service position.

Qualifications

• Five to eight years of calibration experience preferred.
• Understanding of statistics and measurement uncertainty.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• Basic to intermediate troubleshooting and equipment alignment skills.
• Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate IM&TE across multiple disciplines to meet published specifications.
• Maintain calibration standards and perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Follow calibration procedures from blueprints and technical requirements.
• Record calibration data accurately and efficiently.
• Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and perform corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate calibration reports and certificates.
• Interact professionally with customers and account managers to ensure timely communication.
• Transport equipment to and from onsite locations and maintain tools in good order.
