American Red Cross is seeking a Building Engineer to oversee maintenance of designated facilities in Salt Lake City. You will guide planning for building systems, electrical work, and equipment repair, while keeping compliance with NFPA, NEC, and regulatory requirements.

The role requires extensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, and experience managing maintenance work orders. Frequent travel may be involved; relocation assistance is not provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent trade school certificate required.
• Universal Refrigerant license, OSHA 10 and HVAC certification required.
• ASHE membership preferred.

Responsabilités

• Act as onsite subject matter expert on building engineering and advise on building systems, electricity, equipment repair, and general maintenance.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC equipment and related machinery.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety policies are followed across facilities.
• Maintain and manage work-order systems, schedules, and documentation; coordinate emergencies and upkeep.
• Monitor and coordinate access control, security systems, and fire safety procedures.
