Job summary

Lincoln Property Company is seeking a Building Engineer I in Salt Lake City to maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. This role focuses on routine tasks, tenant service requests, and safe operation under guidance from senior engineers.

You will perform inspections, maintain records, and assist with contractor oversight, while adhering to safety standards and participating in professional development.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in building engineering or related field.
• Engineering/trade licenses required per local, state, or national requirements.
• CFC Certification preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems; BAS operation and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled maintenance, repairs, and inspections of building systems.
• Address service requests including tenant issues and lighting repairs.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment malfunctions and upscale issues as needed.
• Replace light fixtures, filters, and other components as required.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and equipment performance.
• Conduct property inspections and assist with preventive maintenance and contractor oversight.
• Follow safety protocols; comply with OSHA, NEC, NFC, NFPA; report hazards and participate in safety audits.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergencies.
• Interact with tenants, contractors, and property managers; work with senior engineers.
