Energy Systems Group is seeking a Building Automation Controls Technician for a 12-14 month onsite assignment at our Picatinny Arsenal location in Dover, NJ. The role focuses on troubleshooting, installation, repair and maintenance of HVAC controls and building systems, leveraging knowledge of HVAC components and IT systems.

The candidate will support field technicians, interpret electrical and mechanical drawings, ensure safe operations, and respond to customer needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–6 years in building automation and instrumentation.
• High school diploma; vocational/technical training.
• Experience with Bacnet communication protocol.
• Knowledge of network architecture and IT basics.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain control systems; support field techs and occupants.
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring, relays, control circuits, and boards.
• Install, program and start building automation equipment as needed.
• Interpret schematics, blueprints and drawings; ensure safe operation.
