Job summary

Metro Credit Union is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager at the Lawrence Branch in Massachusetts. This onsite role leads the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager and ensures welcoming member service, efficient operations, and staff support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least four years of retail customer service experience.
• Ability to guide employees and work independently.
• Strong member service, communication, problem solving, attention to detail, and computer skills.
• Willingness to work onsite five days a week and travel occasionally between branches.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the branch and help keep daily operations organized, secure, and ready for members.
• Create schedules, assign work, coach employees, and support Sales & Service Representatives and Supervisors.
• Resolve member concerns by identifying root causes and coordinating corrective actions.
• Balance vault cash, recyclers, ATMs, and manage cash orders and approvals within authority.
• Process member transactions and protect confidential information.
• Conduct needs-based conversations, open consumer deposit accounts, and refer to retail partners.
• Review daily work for accuracy and required documentation.
• Monitor member contact events and participate in branch meetings.
