Job summary

AstraZeneca is hiring an Associate Scientist for a 12-month, 100% onsite role in Cambridge, MA. You will support drug discovery research in mammalian cell culture, protein conjugation and purification, and MS-based proteomics as part of the Chemical Biology and Proteomics group.

Qualifications include a Bachelor's or Master's in Biology or related fields, hands-on cell culture experience, and familiarity with proteomics and MS techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biology, Chemical Biology, or a related scientific field.
• Hands-on mammalian cell culture experience.
• Experience with proteomics sample preparation, mass spectrometry, Western blotting, or other molecular biology techniques is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain mammalian cell cultures and prepare cell culture media.
• Perform protein conjugation, purification, and characterization using UV spectroscopy.
• Prepare biological samples for proteomics assays and support mass spectrometry-based analysis.
• Analyze experimental data, maintain electronic laboratory notebooks, and communicate scientific findings.
