Job summary

Chapel Electric Co., LLC, an EMCOR Company, seeks a BIM/VDC Coordinator in Dayton, OH to lead 2D/3D modeling efforts, coordinate with project teams, and deliver accurate shop drawings. The role requires strong BIM skills, multi-discipline coordination, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, in-person environment.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the project management team, review plans, issue RFIs, and travel to sites as needed to ensure adherence to NEC and constructability

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3D coordination with other trades and read complex plans.
• Experience with BIM/VDC processes and coordination across disciplines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Review and produce 2D/3D electrical drawings for field installations and coordination with subcontractors.
• Participate in coordination meetings to resolve clashes while maintaining budget and NEC compliance.
• Produce shop drawings and documentation for fabrication and installation crews.
• Read architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings and elevations.
• Communicate with engineers and project management to resolve issues and convey changes.
• Travel to project sites as required and comply with safety programs.
