Job summary

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions is seeking a Hospital Based Bilingual Patient Advocate to connect uninsured hospital patients with Medicaid and other programs. This full-time, onsite role at Salt Lake City, Utah, involves bed-side visits, applications, and liaison with hospital staff and government agencies, with English and Spanish communication.

You will screen patients at bedside, complete applications, document thoroughly in MPower and hospital systems, and strive to meet the 98% bedside

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, depending on client requirements.
• Prior hospital experience preferred.
• Fluent English and Spanish required for communication with patients and teams.
• Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced hospital environment.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Screen uninsured hospital patients at bedside to determine eligibility for federal, state, and/or county programs.
• Complete applications and follow through until approved.
• Document cases accurately in MPower and hospital systems.
• Provide exceptional customer service at all times.
• Collaborate with hospital staff, case managers, social workers, and financial counselors.
