Job summary

AppleOne Employment Services is seeking a highly skilled Bilingual Litigation Legal Assistant for a Downtown Miami law firm. The role supports the Litigation Practice Group, coordinating multiple attorneys in a fast-paced environment.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required, with five years of legal assistant experience, strong organization, and familiarity with Florida state and federal courts. This is a fully onsite, direct-hire opportunity in Downtown Miami.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of legal assistant experience in a law firm.
• Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a mid- to large-sized law firm.
• Experience with Florida state and federal courts, including court rules, filings, and deadline calendaring.
• Fluent in both Spanish and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to multiple attorneys.
• Manage electronic and paper case files, including opening new matters and coordinating conflict checks.
• Maintain attorney calendars, schedule hearings and appointments, and track court deadlines.
• Draft, proofread, and prepare legal correspondence, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Maintain familiarity with Florida state and federal court rules and filing procedures.
• Assist with client billing, including entering billing narratives, tracking billable tasks, reviewing invoices, and distributing bills.
• Track attorney and client expenses and process reimbursements and payments.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, emails, and telephone calls.
• Coordinate with attorneys and internal departments to ensure matters are handled accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of the role.
