NorthPoint Development, Inc. is seeking a Benefits Concierge Specialist to join our Human Resources team in Kansas City.

This in-person role supports employee benefits across medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, retirement, and more, serving as the primary resource for benefit questions and plan navigation. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in employee benefits, with ERISA/ACA knowledge and experience in benefits billing reconciliation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in employee benefits or HR
• Knowledge of ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, 125
• Experience with benefits billing reconciliation
• Ability to translate complex benefits concepts into plain language
• Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Serve as the go-to resource for employee benefits questions, providing 1:1 concierge guidance across medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life, disability, retirement, and voluntary benefits
• Help employees navigate claims issues, provider searches, prior authorizations, appeals, and coordination of benefits
• Own benefits communications, including onboarding, open enrollment campaigns, life event guidance, and ongoing education
• Partner with carriers and vendors to resolve escalated employee issues
• Support open enrollment planning, meetings, and post-enrollment follow-up
• Reconcile and process monthly benefits invoices across carriers and vendors
• Audit enrollment data, payroll deductions, and carrier eligibility files for accuracy
• Manage life event changes, new hires enrollments, and terminations in HRIS and carrier portals
• Maintain benefits records, documentation, and a compliance calendar
• Ensure timely distribution of notices and plan documents (SPDs, SBCs, SMMs, HIPAA, COBRA, WRAP, Medicare Part D, SAR)
• Support ACA reporting and CMS filings
• Partner with brokerage on Form 5500 filing
• Support COBRA administration and coordination with third-party admins
• Stay current on regulatory changes affecting group health and welfare plans
