Behavioral Health Response in St. Louis is seeking a Clinical Crisis Dispatch Specialist to work onsite with Saint Louis City 911 call dispatchers, performing initial assessments and determining appropriate level of care for callers in crisis.

You will enter data into electronic systems, collaborate with clinicians to mobilize crisis resources, and adhere to partner protocols. A bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field and knowledge of crisis intervention are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health, social services, or criminal justice related field or certified peer/recovery specialist; Qualified Mental Health Professional preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months experience in the mental health field in private or public sector.
• Working knowledge of the St. Louis Area Mental Health Network, the Crisis Intervention Model, and the DSM-V.
• Must work well individually and as part of a team.
• Must be flexible with work hours and special requests from supervisors.
• Able to use computer system and talk on the phone while typing.

Responsabilités

• Support the 911 dispatch center and follow Saint Louis Metropolitan Police Department Call Center policies.
• Conduct high quality clinical assessment and triage callers in crisis with courtesy and sensitivity.
• Handle inbound call volume while maintaining service levels within time constraints.
• Enter information from callers into electronic database system accurately.
• Interpret vague situations presented by challenging callers and document appropriately.
• Identify situations requiring Crisis Response Unit or Non-Police Response Clinicians and coordinate services.
