Job summary

BJC Behavioral Health in the St. Louis area seeks a Community Support Specialist for the Mobile Crisis Response (MCR) team. You will travel to individuals in crisis and provide immediate assessment and support in the community using a company vehicle.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a diverse team of mental health professionals and requires a Master’s degree with relevant licensing, plus 2–5 years of crisis experience.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant field (Human Services or related).
• 2-5 years of experience in behavioral health or crisis services.
• MO Class D license or IL equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provides community support services to complex clients in crisis.
• Completes timely documentation of services with details of intervention and outcomes.
• Contacts individuals/referral sources after missed appointments to re-engage.
• Offers mentorship and shadowing to colleagues and supports clinical teams.
• Completes annual assessments and related documentation.
