Job summary

Heritage Bank in Oak Harbor, WA seeks a Customer Support Specialist (Banking Call Center) to greet customers, handle high-volume inbound calls, document notes, and guide them to appropriate solutions. The role is full-time, onsite with a schedule Mon-Fri 8:00-5:00 and rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent - required.
• Level I - 6 months to 1 year of recent experience in retail banking and/or bank operations, with emphasis on customer service, within financial services.
• Level II - 2+ years recent experience in retail banking, bank operations and/or a service/call center environment.
• Senior - 3+ years recent call center experience with emphasis on customer service and advanced technical skills.
• General use and understanding of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); knowledge of telephony hardware/software and contact center applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers in accordance with Heritage Bank Service Standards.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal and external customers.
• Perform and/or assist with a full range of customer service oriented telephone activities; respond to inquiries and direct callers appropriately.
• Resolve online service requests through research and navigation within the organization or escalation.
• Investigate and resolve problems for employees and customers via telephone or in person; escalate as needed.
• Assist with cross-selling bank products based on customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal banking laws and regulations.
