Job summary

System One is seeking an AWS Production Support Engineer to provide hands-on operational support for business-critical applications running in AWS within a large financial services environment. The role focuses on production support, monitoring, incident investigation, and coordination with development teams, with on-site duties in Lafayette, LA.

The role emphasizes ownership, troubleshooting, and willingness to work in a 24x7 production support model, including weekend activities and resiliency

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on AWS cloud operations and production support experience.
• Strong ability to navigate the AWS console and troubleshoot issues across application, service, and infrastructure levels.
• Experience with CloudWatch and CloudTrail for monitoring, logs, metrics, and incident investigation.
• Experience coordinating incident resolution with development teams, cloud teams, and SMEs.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for AWS hosted enterprise applications.
• Monitor applications and infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Splunk, and related tools.
• Investigate alerts through the AWS console, logs, and metrics to identify failure points and business impact.
• Troubleshoot AWS services and related events.
• Manage incidents and service tickets via ServiceNow.
• Coordinate resolution with developers, cloud teams and SMEs.
• Escalate complex incidents with complete technical findings and evidence.
• Support weekday deployments, releases and production change activities.
• Participate in resiliency exercises and weekend activities.
• Identify vulnerabilities and operational risks in production.
