Job summary

Tomorrow.io is seeking seasoned Aviation Meteorologists for onsite roles across multiple locations in the Caribbean and the U.S./Northeast region. The team values integrity, strong teamwork, and a proven track record supporting aviation operations in fast-paced settings.

Applicants should have 2+ years of operational aviation meteorology experience, be comfortable with weekend/holiday shifts, and proficient in creating TAFs and aviation-focused forecasts over large areas.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of operational experience as an aviation meteorologist
  • Able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends & holidays
  • Experience creating TAFs
  • Experience creating convective, turbulence and icing forecasts/outlooks focused on aviation operations over large geographic areas
  • Experience participating in conference calls pertaining to aviation meteorology
  • Experience giving verbal/written briefs pertaining to aviation meteorology
  • Strong familiarity with how weather conditions affect runway configurations at a given airport
  • Strong familiarity with airline operations
  • Strong familiarity with air traffic management programs and airspace classifications
  • Strong synoptic and mesoscale meteorology skills with convection, winter weather, tropical weather and fog
  • Familiarity with impacts of volcanic ash and large-scale dust storms on aircraft and flight patterns/routes
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to maintain composure under stressful situations
  • Ability to meet hard deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and pay strong attention to detail
  • Ability to be an effective communicator
