Job summary

OfficePro is hiring Onsite Audio-Visual Support Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, and support AV systems at client sites in the Chicago area. This 1099 contract role entails hands-on work with video conferencing, DSP, and control systems, with responsibilities spanning preparation, setup, testing, and live event support.

Ideal candidates bring strong networking knowledge, experience with AV control systems (Crestron/QSys), and familiarity with Zoom Rooms or Teams.

Qualifications

Experience with networking concepts essential for AV system integration.
Familiarity with AV control systems (Crestron, QSys, Cisco, etc.).
Ability to read blueprints, schematics and technical diagrams for AV installations.
Hands-on AV industry experience with conference room VTC technologies.
Familiarity with video conferencing platforms (Zoom Rooms, Teams) and AV control systems.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot AV equipment, including video conferencing, audio, control, and DSP devices.
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV hardware/software.
Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and diagrams for AV systems.
Set up and operate video conferencing for meetings, webinars, and events.
Manage cabling, wiring, and mechanical assembly of AV components.
Support live event meetings by coordinating equipment setup and testing under deadlines.
Troubleshoot AV issues in real time and during room sweeps.
