Job summary

Hertz is hiring an onsite Automotive Technician in Kailua-Kona, HI. The role focuses on diagnostic and repair work, preventative maintenance, and leading with product knowledge.

You will work independently and as part of a team, using lifts, alignment machines, and scan tools. Requirements include at least one ASE certification, a safety inspection license, and a minimum of three years of vehicle maintenance experience.

The Onsite Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

What You’ll Get

• Hourly Rate is $26.50 + median incentive is approximately $449/month, varies based on job performance
• Sign-on Bonus: $3,000 ($1,500 paid at 180 and 360 days of employment)

Education/Certification Qualifications

Professional Experience

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience

Knowledge

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools
