Job summary

Hertz in Kahului is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join their maintenance team. This role focuses on diagnostic and repair work, ensuring all equipment runs smoothly through preventative maintenance programs. Responsibilities include performing complex repairs and leading the maintenance efforts with high standards.

The position offers an hourly rate of $26.50, a sign-on bonus of $1,000, and various benefits including comprehensive medical, dental, and vision options, along with paid training and tool reimbursements.

Qualifications

• At minimum three years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

The Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

What You’ll Get:

• Sign-on Bonus: $1,000 ($500 paid at 60 and 90 days of employment)

Educational Background:

• ASE Certified Required
• Trade School Preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred

Professional Experience:

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience

Knowledge:

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools
