Job summary

Hertz is seeking a Certified Automotive Technician in Kenner, LA. The role focuses on diagnostics and repair, maintaining vehicles through preventive maintenance and handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls.

This master technician will lead with product knowledge and a standard of quality. Educational requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent (Trade School preferred) and ASE certification, with at least three years of vehicle maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Trade School preferred.
• ASE Certified.
• At least three years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs and a valid Driver’s License.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changers, alignment machines, and scan tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics and repairs to keep equipment in running condition.
• Work in a team environment while also able to perform tasks independently.

The Certified Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

• Hourly Rate is $22.00 + median incentive is approximately $453/month, varies based on job performance.

Professional Experience:

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience.
  

Knowledge:

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight.
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.
