Hertz is seeking a Certified Automotive Technician in Kenner, LA to join our energetic maintenance team. This role focuses on diagnostics and repair, maintaining equipment through preventative care, and taking on complex tasks like engine and transmission overhauls.

The technician will lead by example, leveraging product knowledge and quality standards to deliver top-notch service. A high school diploma or trade schooling is preferred, with ASE certification valued and a minimum of three years'

Qualifications

• At least three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience.
• ASE certification preferred.
• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight.
• Able to repair vehicles independently, while working well in a team.

Responsibilities

The Certified Automotive Technician is the top of our maintenance team with a focus on diagnostic and repair. This role will work to keep all equipment in running condition through our effective preventative maintenance program, as well as taking on the responsibility of handling complex repairs such as engine and transmission overhauls. This position is a master technician and assumes a leadership role with product knowledge and a standard of quality.

• Hourly Rate is $22.00 + median incentive is approximately $453/month, varies based on job performance.

Educational Background:

Professional Experience:

• At minimum three (3) years of vehicle maintenance experience.

Knowledge:

• Must be able to perform vehicle repairs without oversight.
• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and scan tools.

• Must have tools to perform necessary repairs.
• Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
