Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is seeking an on-site Maintenance Technician for a fixed-term 9-month contract in Tempe, AZ.

The role focuses on maintaining automated systems, conveyors, robots, and related equipment, with emphasis on safety and accurate documentation. You will perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, adhere to SOPs, and contribute to continuous improvement while supporting a reliable operation in a GMP environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience or education in automation.
• Lean Six Sigma Certification is preferred upon hire.
• Experience with ISO standards and GMPs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance for all assigned equipment.
• Maintains accurate documentation of all work performed.
• Reference machine operation and maintenance manuals to perform scheduled and unscheduled periodic maintenance and/or cleaning.
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
• Identify and resolve potential safety hazards.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste within the production environment.
• All interactions, workflow, productivity levels, and quality standards are implemented with a “Customer Service” approach to both internal and external customers.
• Performs other duties as assigned based on business needs.
• Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules.
• Exhibits regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance.
