Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Maintenance Technician for a 9-month fixed-term contract on a 12-hour night shift. You will maintain automated assembly lines and support shift operations to improve efficiency and prevent downtime.

Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of troubleshooting manufacturing machinery, with a willingness to work a night schedule and participate in safety programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience with troubleshooting manufacturing machinery.
• Familiarity with SOPs and Lean Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Logically troubleshoots and repairs the pilot assembly line and related bench top equipment.
• Assists shift lead in maintaining quality of finished product through proper machine operation.
• Maintains spare parts inventory with proper cataloging of parts.
• Notifies shift lead of maintenance issues and downtime in a timely manner.
• Reviews line history and documentation to enhance line efficiencies and reduces downtime.
• Maintains equipment log books with repair/adjustment info.
• Interfaces daily with shift leader and technician during shift changes.
• Contributes to continuous process improvement to reduce scrap and cycle times.
• Provides a customer-service attitude when interacting with internal and external customers.
• Maintains a clean, safe workstation and environment.
