Job summary

TGW Logistics is seeking an on-site Resident Automation Technician Lead in Kernersville, NC, to supervise the TGW resident technician team at the customer facility. You will act as the primary liaison for automation and personnel matters, overseeing maintenance on conveyors, shuttles, and related systems and guiding incidents and training needs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in controls engineering, mechatronics, industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, or related field.
• Several years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial/warehousing environments.
• Knowledge of electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems.
• Prior leadership experience.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills in high-stress scenarios.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the point person between the facility and Lifetime Services team for automation and personnel topics.
• Assist with onsite responsibilities such as managing incidents, training needs, shift coordination, timecards, and customer meetings.
• Coordinate work orders and oversee maintenance activities on automated equipment onsite (conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, carton-opening systems).
• Provide hands-on maintenance, lead troubleshooting efforts, and communicate activities to the customer.
• Resolve equipment issues quickly, perform root cause analyses, and drive resolution.
• Monitor and maintain site spare parts inventory and liaise with customer to manage inventory.
