Job summary

RTX, the world’s largest aerospace and defense company, is seeking an Automation Engineer in Forest, Mississippi, onsite. You will work alongside experienced automation engineers to learn and support the development of manufacturing automation and digital solutions.

Required: a STEM bachelor’s degree and at least two years of related experience; hands-on work with electrical, mechanical or pneumatic systems and the ability to read schematics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with at least two years of related experience.
• Experience with electrical, mechanical, or pneumatic systems and reading schematics.
• Experience learning new technologies in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support development of manufacturing automation and digital solutions.
• Maintain, improve, and troubleshoot existing automation systems under guidance.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving issues on production automation equipment.
• Participate in the full lifecycle of automation projects to gain hands-on experience.
• Document automation systems, test changes, and support system commissioning.
