Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks a Sr. Automation Systems Engineer in McKinney, TX. You will design, implement, and sustain automation and IIoT solutions to support manufacturing, integrating with business systems using Industry 4.0 tools.

You will lead technical efforts across project phases, collaborate with customers, and shape automation deployments from ideation to sustainment. A DoD Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience with database administration in SQL.
• Proficiency in Python, C#, PowerShell or other scripting languages.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Ignition, Splunk or Aegis FactoryLogix development.
• Data analysis experience.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program and factory customers to identify manufacturing automation and digital solutions.
• Support New Product Introduction activities including Design for Manufacturing engagements.
• Perform continuous improvement, upgrades, and sustainment of automation systems.
