Job summary

Concentra is seeking an Onsite Athletic Trainer in Alvarado, TX for a part-time role serving our occupational medicine program. The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient care, injury prevention, and workers' compensation coordination.

The CAT-O will work with the client's Health and Safety Leader to promote a healthier workforce, perform pre-employment testing, and support RTW processes while maintaining clinical competency and compassion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in athletic training from an accredited program.
• Current National Athletic Trainers' Association (NATA) Board of Certification (BOC) Athletic Trainer certification.
• Active and current license to practice in the state of jurisdiction (Texas) if applicable.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid treatment for work-related injuries and illnesses and assess range of motion, strength, reflexes and functional status.
• Identify, evaluate and refer injured associates to appropriate clinicians for optimal care.
• Respond to onsite medical emergencies following standing orders and physician directives.
• Assist in Workers' Compensation case management and claim follow-up.
• Collaborate with client HR and management on return-to-work (RTW) job placement.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and ergonomic training for the workforce.
• Perform ergonomic job analyses, risk factor identification and posture analysis to support workplace changes.
