Job summary

Concentra is seeking a PRN Athletic Trainer at our client's site in Aberdeen, MD to support employee health, wellness, and safety. This role includes Friday coverage and variable clinic hours (6am-4pm or 11am-9pm) as needed.

The AT-O will coordinate workers’ compensation, injury/illness management, and return-to-work activities, collaborating with the client’s Health and Safety Leader to promote a healthier workforce.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Education level: Bachelor's Degree.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer; Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent.
• Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable.
• Continuing education is required to maintain license and to perform job.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid treatment for injuries/illnesses per standing orders.
• Identify, evaluate and refer injured associates to appropriate clinicians.
• Follow action plans to respond to onsite medical emergencies.
• Assist in managing Workers' Compensation cases through claim capture and follow-up.
• Collaborate with HR on return to work (RTW) job placement.
• Track and communicate MSD-related statistics for client stakeholders.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and ergonomic training/evaluation.
• Create pre-shift preventative activity programs and monitor compliance.
• During rehabilitation, implement treatment plans with therapeutic exercise and work conditioning.
