Job summary

Concentra is seeking an experienced PRN Industrial Athletic Trainer to support our client site in Melrose Park, IL. The role focuses on employee health, wellness, and safety through first aid, injury assessment, and RTW coordination.

The position offers opportunities to work on a dynamic site with collaboration across safety, HR, and clinical teams. Must have current First Aid/CPR and applicable state credentials. This is a PRN, on-site role with approx. Mon-Thu and Wed-Sat coverage windows.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
• HIPAA/PHI knowledge and handling of confidential information.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic first aid treatment for injuries and illnesses per standing orders.
• Identify and refer injured associates to clinicians for appropriate care.
• Respond to onsite medical emergencies following action plans.
• Assist in Workers' Compensation management and claim follow-up.
• Coordinate return-to-work (RTW) placements with HR and management.
• Coordinate injury prevention programs and ergonomic training.
• Create rehab and injury prevention reports and track utilization/costs.
• Maintain patient care records and complete required documentation.
