OccuMedX Group Inc. is seeking an Athletic Trainer to provide onsite health support on active construction sites, focusing on injury prevention, early intervention, and ergonomic coaching.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field.
• BOC Athletic Trainer (ATC) certification required.
• Active BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• OSHA 30 Construction certification must be obtained within first 30 days.
• Familiarity with OSHA standards preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Strong organization and attention to detail required.
• Ability to adapt to changes and work in unpredictable environments.
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods and lift over 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working at heights and in a construction environment.
• This is a critical function with potential for overtime and variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite injury prevention, first aid, and early intervention care on construction sites.
• Conduct injury prevention programs, stretching, mobility training, and warm-up sessions.
• Perform functional movement screenings and ergonomic assessments with corrective actions.
• Educate workers on body mechanics, lifting techniques, and safe practices.
• Maintain accurate records of medical incidents, treatments, and follow-up care.
• Prepare incident reports and injury logs for regulatory and internal reporting.
• Communicate trends and health risks to operations leadership; ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance.
• Collaborate with general contractors, safety managers, medics, and project leadership.
• Participate in daily huddles, toolbox talks, and safety meetings; manage onsite supplies.
