Job summary

Kitty Hawk Kites, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations onsite in Kill Devil Hills, NC.

You will partner with the Warehouse Manager and Director of Purchasing to manage inventory, shipping/receiving, and workflow while maintaining safety and cost efficiency. The role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with experience in inventory control, PO processing, and staff supervision.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years supervision in warehouse environment
• 1–2 years inventory control and cycle counting preferred
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Forklift Certification a plus (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily input/output of merchandise and inventory.
• Process and file Purchase Orders; distribute as directed.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and oversee shipping/receiving.
• Manage RTV with vendors and communication with Inventory Manager.
• Train warehouse staff on safety, duties, safety policies and expectations.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of the warehouse; uphold safety standards.
• Assist with payroll and budget planning.
