Job summary

Kitty Hawk Kites is seeking an Assistant Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving. This onsite role in Kill Devil Hills supports the Distribution Center alongside the Warehouse Manager and Director of Purchasing.

Responsibilities include PO processing, staffing workload planning, safety enforcement, and collaboration with management to optimize efficiency and costs.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of supervision in a warehouse environment.
• 1–2 years with inventory control and cycle counting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification is a plus; training provided.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily warehouse operations with the Warehouse Manager.
• Oversee inventory control, receiving, shipping, and distribution.
• Process purchase orders and file documentation.
• Schedule staff workload and ensure productivity.
• Enforce safety standards and housekeeping.
• Coordinate with vendors and store management.
