Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support planning, management, and execution of construction projects. The role may handle multiple projects, aiming to meet quality, owner expectations, and profitability.

This position requires relocation to the project site, as the site location, not the posted location, determines where work occurs. You will coordinate with the Project Superintendent and team to maintain schedule, budget, and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 3+ years of experience on ground-up commercial projects, preferably light industrial/cold storage.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Understands construction laws, codes, and blueprints; applies them effectively.
• Maintains ethical standards and adheres to Layton policies.
• Strong problem solving and ability to relate data from multiple sources.
• Team player able to mentor and coordinate with others.
• Willingness to speak basic Spanish in construction contexts.
• Strong computer and software skills and quick to learn new tools.
