Job summary

PacAero, a growing aerospace manufacturer in Agawam, MA, seeks an Assistant Controller to lead day-to-day accounting for Agawam and Norton operations. You will partner with site leadership and report to the Agawam General Manager, driving close processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting.

The role emphasizes strong internal controls, SOX awareness where applicable, and collaboration with Operations, Contracts, and Supply Chain to link financial data with manufacturing performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience in manufacturing.
• Excellent knowledge of US GAAP.
• Proficiency in Microsoft programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP and company standards.
• Manage general ledger, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Manage cost accounting processes, including standard and job costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation.
• Assist with fixed assets depreciation and capital reporting.
