Job summary

SignGlasses is seeking Onsite Interpreters to support Deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals across classes, courses, and events in Fall River and New Bedford, MA. Most opportunities are in-person at educational institutions, requiring strong ASL-English interpretation and professional conduct.

Applicants should have at least three years of interpreting experience and certifications (RID, NAD, BEI, or EIPA 3.5+).

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional interpreting experience.
• Certificates from RID, NAD, BEI, or EIPA (3.5 or above).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse environments.
• Basic tech fluency to support potential video-based work when needed.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate high-quality ASL-English interpretation in onsite settings.
• Facilitate effective communication in onsite environments.
• Maintain subject matter knowledge to enable accurate interpretation across disciplines.
• Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, preparation, and punctuality.
• Provide stellar professionalism to both internal and external customers.
• Work collaboratively with other interpreters during assignments.
