Job summary

HireArt is seeking an Applications Engineer to support ALM systems and engineering applications from the Foster City, CA office. You will manage configurations, workflows, reporting, and user support while partnering with infrastructure, engineering, and offshore teams.

The ideal candidate is technically strong, customer-focused, and capable of hands-on scripting updates when needed. The role requires 4 days per week onsite in Foster City, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and 4–5 years of

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
• 4-5 years in applications engineering or related roles.
• Strong verbal and written communication with stakeholders.
• Experience supporting configurable enterprise applications.
• Technical foundation in scripting and production support.
• Ability to troubleshoot workflow blockers and permissions.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, Velocity.
• Able to learn new applications quickly.
• Willing to work onsite in Foster City four days per week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite point of contact for ALM and engineering support in Foster City.
• Troubleshoot issues, gather requirements, and provide application support.
• Support configuration, permissions, and production support activities.
• Assist with requirements management workflows, approvals, and release management.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for visibility.
• Support minor scripting and technical fixes using Java, JavaScript, Python, Velocity.
• Collaborate with offshore resources and cross‑functional teams on tickets and upgrades.
• Monitor application performance and assist with deployments and issue resolution.
• Participate in planned upgrades and weekend deployments as needed.
• Evaluate and support new tools and engineering system enhancements.
