Job summary

AIR Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to work on-site at our Tampa, FL apartment community. You will perform maintenance, respond to service requests, and help prepare homes for new residents with modern tools and a resident-first approach.

We value proactive problem solving, strong teamwork, and a commitment to high-quality service. The role includes on-site responsibilities with flexible scheduling to meet community needs.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities or building environments.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
• Reliable transportation to respond to emergency requests after hours.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and support the team.
• Complete basic apartment turns to ready units for new move-ins.
• Perform resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance (e.g., plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• May train other Maintenance Technicians and support skill development.
• May assist with vendor quality and move‑in/move‑out inspections.
