AIR Communities is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Technician for our Jacksonville community. The role focuses on completing basic turns and routine maintenance to ensure units are ready for new residents.

The position requires at least two years of maintenance experience, proficiency in two trades, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. A reliable transportation method is essential for after-hours emergencies.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of maintenance experience in a facilities or building environment.
• Proficient in at least two technical trades (plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, HVAC, carpentry, etc.).
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends (7-day weeks as needed).
• Reliable mode of transportation to respond to emergency service requests after hours.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents and assist team members.
• Perform basic apartment turns to prepare units for next move-in.
• Carry out resident-requested repairs and routine maintenance (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.).
• May mentor other maintenance technicians and support skill development.
• Assist with vendor management quality and move-in/move-out inspections.
• Responsibilities vary based on team, community needs, and seasonality.
