RTX / Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for the Avionics DQA team, onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will ensure designs meet quality, regulatory, and customer requirements while supporting lifecycle execution for ASIC/FPGA developments.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering teams, applying DO-254 processes, and driving continuous quality improvements across programs. Relocation support is available for qualifying candidates.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree with extensive experience in aerospace hardware development.
• Hands-on experience executing DO-254 or equivalent hardware lifecycle processes.
• Direct experience with ASIC/FPGA design, HDL development, and test artifact creation.
• Experience maintaining hardware lifecycle documentation for certification.
• Experience using design, simulation, and verification tools for ASIC/FPGA development.

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive quality audits of engineering projects using objective criteria and best practices.
• Analyze quality metrics to identify trends and systemic issues across programs.
• Provide guidance on process and regulatory requirements to ensure effective project execution.
• Establish credibility across leadership and engineering teams to promote quality improvements.
• Foster a culture of quality processes and robust product development.
