Collins Aerospace seeks an Electrical Engineer for the Avionics DQA team, onsite in Melbourne, FL. You will provide quality-focused oversight of ASIC/FPGA development across the lifecycle, working with engineering to ensure design quality meets customer and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes proactive quality audits, metrics, and continuous improvement, with relocation support for the right candidate and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Formación

• STEM degree required with 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience executing DO-254 or equivalent structured hardware development processes across full lifecycle.
• Direct experience developing, reviewing, or verifying ASIC/FPGA designs, including requirements capture and HDL development.
• Experience maintaining hardware lifecycle documentation for certification (PHAC, HAD, HVVR, traceability data).
• Experience using formal configuration management and change control systems for electronic hardware development.
• Experience conducting structured peer reviews for hardware design, requirements, and verification artifacts.
• Experience using industry standard design, simulation, and verification tools for ASIC/FPGA development (HDL simulation, static analysis, linting, requirements management).

• Analyze and promote adoption of meaningful quality metrics to identify trends and systemic issues.
