Collins Aerospace seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join the Avionics Design Quality Assurance (DQA) team onsite in Melbourne, FL or Cedar Rapids, IA. You will provide quality-focused oversight of ASIC/FPGA developments throughout their lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on DO-254 or equivalent lifecycle experience, collaboration with hardware engineering teams, and a passion for process improvement to ensure designs meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and 8+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Hands-on experience with DO-254 (or equivalent) throughout the full hardware lifecycle.
• Direct experience developing, reviewing, or verifying ASIC/FPGA designs including HDL and test artifacts.
• Experience preparing hardware lifecycle documentation required for certification (PHAC, HAD, HVVR, etc).
• Experience using formal configuration management and change control for electronic hardware development.
• Experience conducting structured peer reviews for hardware design, requirements, and verification artifacts.
• Experience using industry standard HDL design, simulation, and verification tools (HDL simulation, static analysis, linting, requirements management).
