Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking an Accounting Specialist in Santa Barbara, CA, to handle full-cycle accounting across 15 entities and support a small team. The role emphasizes accuracy, analytics, and collaboration in a real estate/property management context.

You will manage AP/AR, reconciliations, payroll processing, and compliance tasks while growing your technical accounting skills and contributing to a broader finance function.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of hands-on accounting experience.
• Associate's degree or relevant coursework in Accounting or Finance.
• Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Working knowledge of California payroll regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables).
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems.
• Analytical and intuitive mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Collaborative and proactive teammate.

Responsabilités

• Support full-cycle accounting activities across 15 entities.
• Manage day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing and reporting.
• Research discrepancies and troubleshoot accounting issues.
• Maintain financial records across multiple systems and spreadsheets.
• Assist with workers' compensation reporting and audits.
• Collaborate with the Corporate Accountant on special projects.
