Job summary

Qualifications

• High School or equivalent required.
• Three years of relevant experience, two as an apprentice or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required and compliance with Dartmouth policy.
• Knowledge of mechanical locking systems and access control systems.
• Familiarity with NFPA 101, NFPA 80, IBC, ADA.
• Ability to read blueprints and schedules.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain door hardware and locks on interior and exterior doors.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical/electronic locks and components.
• Issue keys and manage key systems.
• Coordinate lock changes and security hardware with campus teams.
• Read and follow schematics and blueprints for installations.
• Program and test access control systems and alarm interfaces.
• Maintain inventory records and assist with requisitions.
• Comply with safety and security policies and training.
