Tyson Foods in Hutchinson, KS is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead a 2nd shift team in a high‑volume, food processing environment. You will be responsible for staffing, training, safety, and meeting production goals while maintaining quality and yields.

You will ensure equipment operates reliably, coordinate with other supervisors, manage daily records, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma; additional vocational or college courses preferred.
• Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing environment and prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Special Skills: Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; strong work ethic, and ability to work with minimal supervision; ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Travel: Some travel is required.
• Preferred Skills: Knowledge of food industry processes and equipment, understanding of financial indicators/analysis, and experience in budget development/management.

Responsabilités

• You'll build the best team possible, including hiring, training, retaining and counseling on personal and professional issues.
• Check daily production orders, ensure shipments, rotate inventory, and code products correctly.
• Ensure all line workstations are staffed before production start and machinery is performing.
• Promote safety through daily practice and monthly safety meetings.
• Oversee processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Educate the team on the importance of quality and support continuous improvement.
